No. There is no required amount of money necessary to enter the assisted living and nursing services areas. However, the Masonic Village at Warminster does require that all applicants maintain eligibility for Medical Assistance, Medicare and other third-party payers by not transferring or giving away assets. Medical Assistance guidelines indicate that they will look back three years for transfer of assets.

3. If my funds deplete, will I be asked to leave the Masonic Village at Warminster?
No. Fraternal support enables the Masonic Villages to service eligible individuals as part of our Mission of Love. As long as you maintain your eligibility for Medicaid and other third-party reimbursement, you will not be asked to leave based solely on your financial means. The Masonic Village will help you to apply for all funds available for the services provided.

In the assisted living area, you will receive a monthly amount of $60 to take care of incidental expenses, such as stamps, telephone bill, etc. In the nursing services area, residents receive a monthly amount of $40. These funds are deposited into a personal account provided by the Finance Department.

5. Are a durable power of attorney and a living will required for admission?
Although not a requirement, we do encourage all residents to have a durable power of attorney and a living will. It is important to have someone to make medical and financial decisions should you become unable to do so.
