Our Volunteers

Our volunteers represent many diverse backgrounds who all care and want to make a meaningful difference in the comfort and happiness of our residents' lives. Some of our volunteers represent Masonic lodges, chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star, Job's Daughters, Rainbow Girls and DeMolay. Many volunteers, however, are individuals with no particular affiliation to the Masonic Village other than a genuine interest in helping mankind.

Opportunities

Prospective volunteers, through a personal interview, will share their motivation for volunteering, time commitment, interests, abilities and skills. A three- to four-hour, once-a-week volunteer commitment is requested.

Volunteers assist with everything from escorting residents to in-house activities, appointments and church to delivering mail or working in the gift shop. They assist with crafts, ceramics, socials, music therapy, special events and programs. By just sitting with a resident, they provide socialization and reminiscence.

Lodges and Chapters

Throughout the year, Masonic lodges, Eastern Star chapters, Masonic Youth groups and others assist our residents on a regular basis, often as part of a group service project or during special events.
