Our Volunteers
Our volunteers represent many diverse backgrounds who all care and want to make a meaningful difference in the comfort and happiness of our residents' lives. Some of our volunteers represent Masonic lodges, chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star, Job's Daughters, Rainbow Girls and DeMolay. Many volunteers, however, are individuals with no particular affiliation to the Masonic Village other than a genuine interest in helping mankind.
Opportunities
Through a personal interview, we will ask you to share your motivation for volunteering, time
commitment, interests, abilities and skills. Based on your desires and the needs of the Masonic Villages, we make every effort to assign you to an appropriate area. We request a three- to four-hour, once-a-week commitment from our volunteers.
Volunteers assist with everything from escorting residents to in-house activities, appointments and church to delivering mail or working in the gift shop. You can assist with creative arts, ceramics, socials, music therapy, special events and programs. By just sitting with a resident, you can provide socialization and reminiscence.
