Nursing Services

Around-the-clock nursing care within the neighborhoods of the Sturgeon Health Care Center offers you peace of mind so you can enjoy your life to the fullest.

Reside in a private room with a bath that includes a European-style shower. Each neighborhood has a large dining room and lounge area leading onto a terrace, where you can dine, relax and spend time with friends and family.

A staff of registered and licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants provide 24-hour care. The medical director coordinates appropriate medical services. Social workers, pastors and therapeutic recreation specialists, as well as housekeeping, laundry and maintenance personnel also contribute to daily support services. The Sturgeon Health Care Center is Medicare- and Medicaid-certified.

Memory Support Wing
Loved ones with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias can receive individualized care in two specially designated neighborhoods of the Sturgeon Health Care Center. Staff provide a daily activity schedule, which includes times for dining, socialization, hydration, exercise and rest.

This residence is structured to maintain the dignity, respect and safety of all residents within a secure environment. We promote memory stimulation and coordination, and encourage feelings of self-worth.

Expected Completion - Summer 2012
To maintain our high quality of service, we are transforming our nursing residence from a medical model to a neighborhood model. Residents will enjoy improved privacy while living within "neighborhoods" which feel more like home. The expanded center will include larger community living areas, more room for providing physical, speech and occupational therapies, and additional indoor and outdoor spaces for residents' well-being.
