Celebrating 100 Years with a Bang ... and a Book!

Milestones are meant to be shared, and with a century of service to celebrate, the Masonic Village invites the community to enjoy fireworks on Friday, June 25, at approximately 9 p.m.

The display will be fired off from below the Masonic Village's Formal Gardens, however it may be viewed from many different areas on campus. Vehicles should enter the campus from Masonic Drive and turn onto Freemason Drive. The Elizabethtown Fire Department will direct and park cars in fields for $10 per car, with proceeds benefiting the fire department. Masonic Village appreciates the volunteer fire department providing services to the Elizabethtown area community.

Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. In case of rain, the fireworks will be rescheduled for a later date. The Masonic Village Retirement Living Association is sponsoring the fireworks in honor of and appreciation for employees and their families, and encourages the community to join in the festivities.

Beginning June 25, the "Masonic Village: 100th Anniversary" history book may be purchased during regular business hours in campus gift shops and the Masonic Village Farm Market, and online. This 212-page book highlights why Elizabethtown was, and is still is, an ideal home for Masonic Village's Mission of Love. It is filled with hundreds of photographs and stories about people whose lives have been impacted by this mission, all in relation to worldwide events and obstacles. Profits from the sale of the book support the Arline M. Hughes Caring Fund, which enhances the quality of life for residents of the nursing and personal care residences on campus.

On Sunday, June 27, at 9 a.m., the public is also invited to attend an interdenominational Commemorative Worship Service in the Freemasons Cultural Center's Brossman Ballroom, which will celebrate the blessings of the last 100 years and offer prayers for the future. Families are encouraged to attend together, but childcare will not be provided. Follow signs on campus for parking at the Freemasons Cultural Center or view a map here.
