Brunch with the Nittany Lion Brings Together PSU Fans

On Sun., Oct. 16, Masonic Village residents, Irem Country Club members, local Penn State Wilkes-Barre Lion Ambassadors and the community united under a common bond - blue and white. In all, about 200 people attended Brunch with the Nittany Lion at the Irem Country Club.

Attendees enjoyed the usual Sunday brunch fare with several additions, including the Joe Pa omelet bar and The Diner's grilled stickies - a Penn State favorite. With guests and staff decked out in blue and white and Penn State band music setting the scene, the Nittany Lion was busy entertaining and taking photographs all day.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre Lion Ambassadors hosted a table with information for guests who wanted to learn more about the college. "It was a great day for the Lion. We really enjoyed the PSU fans who support the Penn State Wilkes-Barre campus," Sean Davis, Lion ambassador, said.

"The event was an unusual opportunity for local Penn State fans to meet, share brunch, enjoy a grilled stickie and spend time with the Lion. Overall, it was a memorable day for PSU fans," Noah Davis said. The Irem Country Club is excited to plan similar events that unite the community in the future.
