Memory Support Area
Loved ones with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias can receive individualized care in three specifically-designed neighborhoods within the Masonic Health Care Center. These residences are tailored to maintain the dignity, respect and safety of residents within a secure environment.
The two Lafayette neighborhoods are divided into higher and lower functioning sides so staff can target programs to meet the needs of each resident in a specific stage of dementia. Both neighborhoods include a recreational area, dining room, pantry, kitchen settings, a shower room, family room and audio/visual equipment. Beautifully designed outdoor courtyards enhance therapeutic recreation and inspire nostalgic memories as residents progress from the early to late stages of dementia.
The third neighborhood, The Garden Path, provides careful, loving attention for those with end-stage dementia requiring more extensive to total assistance.
