Masonic Children's Home
Offering Care and Guidance to our Youth
The Masonic Children's Home is an ideal opportunity for children who are orphaned, being raised by aging grandparents, or who come from various socioeconomic environments which do not provide the security and support necessary for healthy growth and development.
All residents of our Masonic Children's Home are sponsored by a Masonic Lodge but do not need to have any Masonic affiliation in the family.
The youth enjoy an attractive, homelike environment with spacious bedrooms and nutritious home-cooked meals. They receive clothing, complete medical care and academic tutoring, and have the opportunity to experience an independent living program and pursue higher education.
Children admitted to the Masonic Children's Home attend the Elizabethtown Area School District, programs conducted by Intermediate Unit 13, and the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center. Higher education is an opportunity provided through the Masonic Charities and strongly supported by the Masonic Homes/Patton School Alumni Association.
While residing at the Masonic Children's Home, the children have the opportunity to participate in the following:
• Activities through the Greater Elizabethtown Area Recreation Commission
• Scholastic sports offered through Elizabethtown Area School District
• On-campus basketball and tennis courts, play areas and swimming pools
• Art and music lessons
• Religious worship of their choice
Funding
The Masonic Children's Home is funded through generous contributions to the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown. No charges are made to individuals, organizations, or any units of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or federal government for the services provided by the Masonic Village to children accepted for care.
